2005 Event General Information
Our 2005 cycle was from 18-21 August 2005
(Note date was change original plan was 10-13 August)
Interested in cycling from Mizen Head to Malin Head, all 415 miles of Irelands rolling hills and beautiful country side in between. Raise money for cancer charities and have a bit of fun along the way, contact us.
We travelled to Mizen Head on Wednesday 17 August 2005, and try to arrive around 22:30 during heavy rain, and stayed overnight in the West Cork area.
The date's that the cycle took place were :
Thursday 18 August 2005 (Start of cycle: Stayed overnight near Limerick)
Friday 19 August 2005 (Stayed overnight near Claremorris)
Saturday 20 August 2005 (Stayed overnight near Omagh)
Sunday 21 August 2005 (Finished & Travel Home)
On Thursday completed around 130 miles (finish time around 6:30pm)between Mizen Head and Limerick City.
Friday cycled around an even 100 miles (finish time around 5:00pm)between Limerick City and Claremorris / Knock.
Saturday was around 115 miles (finish time around 6:00pm) taking us from Claremorris / Knock to near Omagh.
Sunday was around 70 miles (finish time around 2:00pm) from Omagh to our finish point at Malin Head.
